DETERMINING YOUR SIZE

There are a couple of measurements that are key in determining the size frame of bicycle you should be riding. The most basic of them is your inseam length to determine standover height. When standing over the bicycle with your feet about shoulder width apart and flat on the ground, you should have about 1-2 inches between the top of the bar and your pubic bone. The second basic measurement is reach. This will depend greatly on the style of bike you are purchasing but generally, you should be able to reach the bars with your elbows slightly bent and have a comfortable angle in your back. If you are in-between sizes on standover height, determine the size of bike by which reach feels more comfortable. From there, we can do some raising and lowering of bars by changing the stem angle or length, and we can change the reach slightly by sliding the saddle forward or backward on its rails. Please stop in to be properly fitted for a bike before purchasing anything.
